Dedication Sunday

What does it mean to dedicate something to God? In 1 Kings 8, Solomon and the people of Israel dedicated the temple—setting it apart for God and His purposes. But dedication was never meant to stop with a building. Scripture reminds us that we are temples of the Holy Spirit. Our lives, our gifts, and everything God has entrusted to us are meant to be offered back to Him. As we dedicate this building, we’re remembering that it was never ours to begin with. It belongs to God, and we want to steward it faithfully. So the question becomes personal: What has God entrusted to me, and is it still dedicated to Him?
