Rich Generosity

Nov 9, 2025    Pastor Jeremy Peters

Pastor Jeremy challenges us to examine whether we approach God transactionally—giving to get—or transformationally—giving because we've been given everything in Christ. The distinction is crucial: transactional giving is rooted in obligation and expectation, while transformational generosity flows from a surrendered heart that recognizes God as the ultimate provider. We're invited to consider the PLOW principle: Pray, Listen, Obey, and Wow—allowing God to direct our generosity in ways that might stretch us beyond comfort. Whether it's our time serving in ministry, our talents used for God's glory, or our financial resources invested in eternal work, true generosity begins when our hearts align with God's heart. The call isn't about what's in our wallets but what's in our souls—a complete surrender that says, 'Lord, here's my heart, and everything else will follow.'
